Your tools lie separately.
Together, they tell the truth.

Todoist doesn't know about your calendar. Your calendar doesn't know about your tasks. Ekumene connects them and shows you what's actually possible.

Available now

Launch integrations included in all plans.

Todoist

Available

Sync your tasks, projects, labels, and due dates. Ekumene reads your tasks and syncs completions back to Todoist (requires read + write access).

  • Syncs when you click refresh
  • Project-to-pillar mapping
  • Due date and priority import
  • Two-way task completion

Google CalendarEarly Access

Available

See all your events, meetings, and time blocks. Ekumene reads your calendar to understand your real availability.

  • Event sync with attendee detection
  • Recurring event support
  • All-day event handling
  • Multiple calendar support

You may see an "unverified app" warning during Google sign-in. This is normal while we complete Google's verification process.

How sync works

Connect once, refresh anytime to pull latest changes.

1

Connect your accounts

Authorize Ekumene to access your tools via OAuth. We never see your passwords. Google Calendar is read-only; Todoist requires read + write for completion sync.

2

Initial sync

Ekumene pulls your tasks and events, then classifies each one by urgency.

3

Ongoing updates

Changes sync when you refresh. Complete a task in either app, and it stays in sync.

4

Unified view

See everything in one place. Ekumene prioritizes across all your connected tools.

Sync details

What syncs, what doesn't, and how to control it.

Todoist

What syncs

Tasks sync from Todoist projects that you've mapped to Ekumene pillars. In Settings, you link each pillar to a Todoist project, and tasks from that project appear in Ekumene.

What doesn't sync

Tasks in your Todoist Inbox or unmapped projects won't appear in Ekumene. To sync them, either move them to a mapped project in Todoist, or map that project to a pillar in Ekumene.

Sync direction

You can control sync per pillar:

  • Both ways — Pull tasks from Todoist and push completions back
  • Pull only — Import from Todoist, but don't push changes
  • Push only — Push Ekumene tasks to Todoist, don't import

Completions & deletions

When you complete a task in Ekumene, it syncs back to Todoist (unless set to pull-only). To delete a synced task, delete it in Todoist — Ekumene will mark it as cancelled on next sync.

Tasks pushed from Ekumene get an ekumene label in Todoist for easy identification.

Google Calendar

What syncs

Events from calendars you select in Settings are imported as "commitments" in Ekumene. This includes meetings, appointments, and time blocks.

Read-only

Ekumene never writes to your calendar. We read your events to understand your availability and factor them into urgency calculations, but we don't create, modify, or delete any events.

What shows up

  • Confirmed and tentative events
  • Recurring events (each occurrence)
  • All-day events
  • Events where you're an attendee

Multiple calendars

You can sync multiple calendars and assign each to a default pillar. Work calendar → Work pillar, personal calendar → People or Rest.

Calendar write support (blocking time from Ekumene) is on the roadmap.
