Built for people who think in systems

Most productivity tools help you do more. Ekumene helps you see clearly. We don't believe in infinite ambition. We believe in honest plans for a finite life.

The Twin Worlds

Our logo comes from Ursula K. Le Guin's The Dispossessed — a story of two worlds, Anarres and Urras, representing the tension between constraint and abundance.

The terracotta circle is Anarres: constraint, intention, what you can do. The sage circle is Urras: possibility, abundance, what you want to do.

Where they overlap is where real plans live. Not everything you want, but everything that's actually possible. That's the inhabited world — the ekumene.

What we believe

Three principles that guide everything we build.

Analytical Rigor

Structured thinking that breaks complexity into manageable pieces. Real plans with real numbers. We don't hide behind vague promises — we show you exactly what's possible.

Philosophical Honesty

You can't do everything. Time is finite. Plans should reflect reality, not ambition. We'd rather tell you something won't fit than help you overcommit.

Human Warmth

A thoughtful colleague, not a productivity robot. Direct but kind. We say what's true, and we say it warmly. Think: a smart friend who's good with spreadsheets.

The honest approach

You already know what matters. You don't need another app telling you to optimize, hustle, or squeeze more into your day.

What you need is a clear picture. Which of these 47 tasks actually needs to happen today? What are the real constraints? If you add this commitment, what gets pushed?

Ekumene holds your commitments and shows you the truth — not to judge, not to block, just to help you see. So the choice is yours.

We don't gamify. No streaks, no points, no badges. We don't celebrate when you check things off or shame you when you don't. We just tell you what's true.

Because honest is more useful than optimistic.

What we don't do

Public commitments about what Ekumene will never become.

No gamification

No points, badges, leaderboards, or achievement systems. Completion is expected, not celebrated.

No streaks

Missing a day doesn't break anything. We don't manufacture anxiety to drive engagement.

No social feeds

No public profiles, no sharing, no comparison with others. Your life is your own.

No motivational notifications

We don't push “You can do it!” messages. We tell you what's true, not what feels good.

No opaque AI

Every prioritization decision shows its reasoning. No black boxes, no magic — just math.

No data selling

Your data is never sold to third parties. We make money from subscriptions, not surveillance.

No AI training on your content

Your tasks, notes, and personal data are never used to train machine learning models.

The company
